Broadway Brews Project, SCHOOL OF ROCK: Let's meet the Team!

The second Broadway Brew process gets underway as the cast of School of Rock the Musical meets up with brewer and owner Augie Carton of Carton Brewing, at Rattle N Hum West. But this night isn't just all fun and beer drinking, there are jobs to do: What kind of beer will the cast choose to make? What will they name it? And who have they decided that the beer will raise money for? 

Each Broadway Brew is a THREE EPISODE SERIES: And for School of Rock, this is Episode One. Click onward to meet and learn more about some pretty awesome folks, and most importantly, raise money for a terrific cause. Cheers!

The Broadway Brews Project beer #2: SCHOOL OF ROCK.

The Broadway Brews Project continues!

Just like we did with Hamilton an American Musical and Gun Hill Brewing recently, we, The Happy Hour Guys, are putting a hit Broadway show together with a local brewer, to brew a beer for Charity. Our eventual goal: The Broadway Six Pack - six shows, six beers, six amazing causes.

And here comes Brew #2; we're matching School of Rock the Musical with Carton Brewing in Atlantic Highlands, NJ - and they're brewing for the good folk over at Sing For Hope.

Brew Day is October 20th, and the release party will be...well, as soon as this kick-ass, hard-rockin' beer is ready.

Craft Beer and Broadway are together again. Cheers!

TB(Wednesday): Harvest time at Damiani.

Earlier this year, while going thru some 'classic' footage, Mark said to Jimmy, "Hey - whatever happened to that really great stuff we got in the finger lakes when we visited Damiani Wine Cellars?" A spelunking adventure ensued, and Jimmy recovered this event, which we must share. As we've said in the past, it's always good to be a The Happy Hour Guy, but some days IT'S EVEN BETTER. Enjoy this episode, right out of the tank and barrel. CHEERS!

Announcing the 2nd #BroadwayBrew: School of Rock and Carton Brewing!

So very excited to let you guys in on this one - our second Broadway Brews Project collaboration partners will be School of Rock the Musical, and Carton Brewing! There are already tons of cool stories to tell about this one and we've barely gotten started. First episode capture is just weeks away!

Stay tuned for updates as we get the band together, create a recipe, pick a charity, and find a name for this beer - any ideas from you guys? Leave them in the comments below!

Oh, how we Long (Island) for Sand City Brewing!

Mark, Jimmy and Squigs take the short journey from NYC to Northport NY, on Long Island; a beautiful little village with a historical part of the very bones of New York City. Also where, right in the middle of Main Street, Sand City Brewing is making craft beer that... well, it pretty much blew our minds.
