It's time for The Happy Hour Guys' yearly tradition: Looking back on everywhere we've been in the past year! And 2016 was a doozy, with travels all over the USA including Texas, Montana, Michigan, Massachusetts, NYC...and speaking of NYC (and Broadway), 2016 was the first year of possibly our proudest accomplishment... THE BROADWAY BREWS PROJECT. Click play for a rundown.... and Happy New Year!
Press keeps Rolling (Stone) for the #BroadwayBrewsProject!
When we started the Broadway Brews Project, we certainly had hopes that it would blossom into the Next Big Thing. But I'm not sure we had any idea that it would go like this. Check out the latest press that just dropped yesterday: A great video from Brittany Spanos and the good folks over at:
And here's a lineup of some (just some!) of the coolest press we've had so far:

Broadway Brews Hamilton: Release Party!
It's already late up on the roof deck of Beer Authority in Midtown Manhattan, but who cares: Let's tear it up!
Time to celebrate - the first incarnation of The Broadway Brews Project has come full circle. What a journey! The plan was made, and the beer was brewed; now it's time to party. Join our Broadway Brewers and their bretheren in the cast of Hamilton an American Musical for the release of Rise Up Rye, brewed with Gun Hill Brewing in honor of Graham Windham and the Eliza Project. Biggest hit show of a generation, sure: But how will the beer taste? Click play and find out.
SPECIAL THANKS TO: The good folks at Beer Authority; Harry Berberian, from Graham Windham, and the GW volunteers; Hollis Scarborough-Rodriguez, for her party planning genius (as well as her hubby Percy); and our crackerjack shooting crew of Ben Leibert, Dane Agostinis, and Squigs.
Broadway Brews Hamilton: BREW DAY!
It's a chilly day in the Bronx. And as our Hamilton Brew Crew gathers in Times Square outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre for their ride north, their compatriots up at Gun Hill Brewing company are 'mashing in' the beginnings of an experimental Rye beer that is set to change the relationship between Craft Beer, Broadway and charity...forever.
But this process cannot complete without the help of Javier Muñoz, David Guzman, and Kamille Upshaw. Click ahead for a peek behind the scenes - and the creation of Rise Up Rye. The release of this beer is Saturday night, 4/30!
(A percentage of sales of #RiseUpRye will go to @GrahamWindham, in support of the #ElizaProject. This is the #BroadwayBrewsProject!)
Broadway Brews Project #1: Meet the HamilTeam!
Brew Crew Assemble! Welcome to the Broadway Brews Project: The Happy Hour Guys are putting together Hamilton an American Musical and Gun Hill Brewing of the Bronx, to brew a special one-off #CraftBeer for charity!
It's after showtime at 5 Napkin Burger in Midtown Manhattan, and members of the cast of Hamilton, The Happy Hour Guys, and Gun Hill Brewing meet up for great food and drink to discuss the recipe of their beer, what they might name it, and most importantly, who they'll be raising money for. Let's meet our brain trust!
HUGE thanks to our friends at 5 Napkin Burger Midtown for hosting us for the evening, and to Justin 'Squigs' Robertson, Dane Agostinis, Jeffry Denman and Ben Leibert on the lenses!
Here comes the Broadway Brews Project
Being Broadway guys who moonlighted as The Happy Hour Guys (or vice versa) just didn't cut it any longer: So Mark and I decided it was time to bring our Craft lives and our Broadway lives together.
So here's an intro to our newest series, The Broadway Brews Project. We're pairing a hit Broadway show with a local NY Brewer; then helping the whole crowd plan, brew and then celebrate a one-off beer, all for a charity of the show's choosing. And we follow along with our cameras the whole time, of course. 3 Episodes: Meeting/recipe planning, Brew Day, and Release Party.
So what show is up first? There may be a clue or two (or three) in this teaser!
