Looking back is always one of our favorite things to do each year - and 2017 was another great trip. We were all over the US once again, with stops in Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan; and most importantly the Broadway Brews Project powered forward, with the release of Brews number two and three, with more to come! Get ready for 2018, and “Craft Beer for Good” with us. CHEERS!
A visit to The Alchemist: Family.
Time to re-learn two very important lessons this holiday season: Good leadership is vital, and family is all.
Jimmy and Kristen made their way through Vermont this last summer as part of their pre-Jake 'babymoon', and when in Vermont, one must BEER in Vermont - so it was time to drop in on our old friends at the Alchemist. We've known these folks since the 'oughts', and have watched them grow through some pretty unimaginable challenges. And though they make some of the best beer in the world, when you hang out with them, you realize that what's first in founder / owners John and Jen Kimmichs' hearts a leadership style that makes some of the happiest beer people we've ever met.
Join us for a peek at the Alchemist Family. Happy Holidays, and CHEERS!
John Kimmich (The Alchemist Brewery) answers some questions.
Folks love the beers that this man and his team make. But everyone has questions. So recently, John put up a short video answering some FAQs:
How do we know John? Why are we such fans? Well, we've been there a couple times, and if you're into great beer (and even better people) you should go too:
Video episode #281: The Martini is a 3oz. drink - at the Prohibition Pig.
The Guys make their way back to Waterbury, Vermont, to close a circle started in motion by John and Jen Kimmich, and furthered by the tragedy that was Hurricane Irene; the Prohibition Pig now takes full possession of the space once occupied by The Alchemist Pub and Brewery. Learn just how cool the new place is, their philosophy of food and drink, and just why you should run - not walk - to get there as soon as possible. Cheers!
Video #266: How far would you go for your beer? The Alchemist Cannery.
For some, getting up before sunrise to head to work is an everyday thing; for The Happy Hour Guys, it most certainly is not. UNLESS - they're on their way to Vermont to visit one of their favorite Bev-Tour destinations in recent memory, The Alchemist Brewery in Waterbury. Certainly one would go a long, long way for HEADY TOPPER, the beer that some have rated as the best Strong IPA on the planet; but incredibly, Mark, Jimmy and Scott found some even more compelling reasons to visit. Enjoy!
Video episode # 235: Long Trail Brewing - Drink in a River.
Here's what you can do at Long Trail, one of the prettiest settings for a brewery we've ever seen; you can drink your beer in the river. Perfection.
Video episode #221, for 5 Napkin: Wolaver's Organic Brown Ale.
Original 5 Napkin Burger, you may have met your Perfect Match: Wolaver's Brown. Join Mark and Jimmy as they travel up to Middlebury, VT, to find out why. Cheers!
