Good Things A-Brewing in MI
Howdy THHG Folks. Loud Guy Here. Spent the evening at the 14th Annual Michigan Summer Beer Festival with the new Science Guy. Much video to edit and upload later, but here are some picts to wet your appetite. Lots of beer to love here (62 breweries, about 150 beers). The ones that stuck out for us were: Bell's Batch 9000, Arcadia's Shipwreck Porter, Original Gravity's Barrel Aged Bellywasher, Wolverine State's Garden Weasel, Founder's All Day IPA, Short's Bloody Beer, and Dark Horse's Raspberry Ice Black. But you really can't go wrong anywhere at the Festival.
Quips...mmm! Tasty
Boston Beer Works
S'up McGlass Peeps! Stat guy here. So the guys dropped me off at Logan here in Boston because I gotta head west, but I had time for one at the airport before takeoff. Boston Beer Work's own, Golden Ale. It's doing me well at the moment! And the bartender, Jeff (his name is my name toooo :) even gets to exert is artistic chops, when they send along the beer with no tap... He gets all creative, and writes his own!! Check the Watermellon Brew.... Whaaaaaat? :)
The Great Beer State
Holy Pants, Batman. Loud Guy here. The Michigan 14th Annual Summer Beer Festival is the hottest ticket in town. And we're gonna be there. Here's a list of what we have to choose from. Any requests?
Video episode #186: The Get Real Belgian Festival!
The Guys (and Gals) make their way to downtown Manhattan to the Get Real Belgian Beer Festival - many thanks to Patrick Donagher of Rattle N Hum, and Michelle Gralitzer of MLG PR. The Belgians are coming! The Belgians are coming!
Trapp Family Brewery/Lodge/Kingdom.
The Von Trapps fled Austria and settled in Vermont. And in addition to spinning in circles whilst singing, baking, building a HUGE lodge and generally creating a small fiefdom atop a Vermont promontory, they also brew LAGERS! Not too many other brewers doing traditional lagers up here. Nice!
