Reporting for The Happy Hour Guys, Squigs gets the lowdown on this sixth annual celebration of craft beer in New York City. NYC Brewers Guild members chat about the week, the events, and what's so special about the NYC craft beer community. Oh, and we may play charades a little. Cheers!
One of the things we love about having as much content as we do (over 250 video episodes - that's DAYS worth of video content) is that sometimes we have no idea the cool places it might end up. Yesterday we found out that our friends at the Brewers Association, which runs the site CraftBeer.com, picked up the episode we did featuring Union Craft Brewing down in Baltimore last year. Our video just keeps on keepin' on!
A burning question we know you've all been struggling with; what did brewers do, 'back in the day', before they had access to refrigeration? How did they deal with all that hot wort? What did they use to flash off heat and then continue with open fermentation?? Set your worries to rest: We've got you. Join Jimmy, Mark, Squigs and special guest Jeff 'Chief' O'Neil up the Hudson River in picturesque Peekskill. Cheers!
Last summer's BEERmuda Triangle Tour continues, as the Guys continue onward from Beer City USA for 2012/2013, Grand Rapids, MI, and head to one of the places where Craft Beer got started in Michigan - Bell's Brewing. Larry Bell got Craft going in the Great Beer State way back in 1984, fermenting with a 5 gallon soup tureen covered with Saran Wrap! My how things have change. And how happy are the folks at Bagger Dave's Cascade location, when they discover what their prize is! Eat well, drink local! Cheers -
Jimmy, Mark and AJ land once again in Indianapolis, IN, home to the tremendously cool folk of Sun King Brewing. Craft Beer has made it to Indiana, and in a big, big way. You may have heard of them and love their beers, but why can't you get them in your state? And what's with those resealable aluminum cans? Have a watch and find out. Cheers!
Midway through last summer's BEERmuda Triangle Tour, the Guys make a stop in Beer City USA for 2012/2013, Grand Rapids, MI, where the beer truly does flow like water along the nearby. And not far from an amazing burger/beer event at the Downtown GR Bagger Dave's, there is a Brewery the likes of which you've never seen...Brewery Vivant. Enjoy!
