Video #76: The Happy Hour Guys got a pony! The Pony Bar!
Mark and Jimmy find a real reason to celebrate in Midtown Manhattan with the arrival of The Pony Bar, an oasis of American Craft Beer on 45th and 10th. Owner Dan McLaughlin's inviting space features 20 draft lines of beer and two cask ales that are always rotating, providing for new taste experiences every time you come in the door. Add to that the Pony All American Club, their Brewery Tours, a solid kitchen menu and a great staff, and you've got a place that's sure to be in New York for a long, long time. If you're within a hundred mile radius, saddle up and head over to The Pony. Cheers!
Video #75: Getting green at Habana Outpost.
Guest Host Vanessa Rae joins The Guys at Habana Outpost, Sean Meenan's super green, solar powered, rainwater collecting, roof-garden having, fantastic eating and drinking spot in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Habana is, in fact, the only solar powered restaurant in the NYC area, using renewable energies, ingredients and innovative thinking across the board - and that includes the bike blender for mixing your own smoothies! With Sixpoint Ales on tap for a ridiculous price and their Famous Corn that will knock your socks off, Habana is a Cuban inspired, cash-only seasonal retreat in the middle of bustling Brooklyn that will teach you, entertain you, and leave you sated and satisfied. We certainly were.Cheers!

Video #67: The Civilization of Beer!
Beer may have been responsible for Civilization itself. Is Civilization responsible for beer? In Samuel Merritt’s case, it is. Mark and Jimmy make a stop at the Blind Tiger Alehouse in the West Village of Manhattan to interview Samuel and his Beer Education Consulting Company. In addition to advising many corporate clients and beer fans, Samuel also offers incredible beer appreciation classes at Manhattan’s Institute of Culinary Education several times a year. Can fans of The Happy Hour Guys get in on those? Um, in a word, yes. Watch to the end of the episode!
Video #65: The Guys, Lou, and The Brazen Head.
The Guys learn this lesson: Sooner or later, everyone should know someone like Lou. Meet Lou Sones, Managing Parter and onsite boss for the Brazen Head, one of the homiest Brooklyn bars weve come across (with a very impressive beer, scotch and bourbon list!) Lou leads Mark and Jimmy on a tour of the Brazen Head, which admittedly has a strange name with a fantastic pedigree; the Brazen Head also features some great year-round events including Cask Ale festivals (three a year) and their Spring Clam Shuck. This years Clam Shuck is on April 18th (saturday) from 5-10 PM, and the Spring Cask Fest is on May 1-3rd. No visit to Brooklyn should be complete without a stop at the Brazen Head. Cheers!
